Vincent Valentine

​Vincent Valentine is a character from the Square Enix game Final Fantasy VII. His design was tons of fun to recreate and also was the first time I used resin in a way that was not for jewelry! Hes one of my favorite characters and i'm happy to have been able to be him. I took small liberties with his design and took elements from FFVII and Dirge of Cerberus to make my cosplay.

The Process​

​The cloak was made of a heavy red anti pill fabric that I cut up and then seared the edges to prevent fraying, I needed something that would drape and would look like it had some weight to it as well. All the buckles and belt ends I molded and casted myself in resin! The armor was made out of foam and thibra. The gun I made from scratch as well and the leather top was an altered leather jacket, same with the pants and all the belts!

The Memories

​I forgot how exactly it was decided I would cosplay Vincent Valentine but in the end we had a large group for it and I was so happy to be able to cosplay with so many friends. The attendees for the A-Kon/Anime Expo loved it and I am happy so many people still love this boy. I cannot wait to see what he looks like in the remake! I also met Alyson in it at A-kon and she has since become one of my good friends in the cosplay community that I am so thankful to have in my life.
