Vaporeon

Vaporeon is a character from the Pokemon franchise, the design is made by me. The inspiration for this design was a mix of influence from the anime Magi and beach fun times. I designed the entire group for these Eeveelutions! 

The Process

The design as I said before is based of Magi/beach looks! This was a very fun process with the materials I used, the fabric was all stretch and was pretty basic stuff asides the lining which is blue brocade. The armor was all leather that I hand painted, grommeted and laced myself. The middle sash was hand painted on with Vaporeons design and the fins were all clear PVC I warped and dyed the get the look of actual fins. The border of the fins to help keep their shape was worbla. Its hard to see in some photos but there was also some bodypaint involved too! All the resin gems were casted by Carl!

The Memories

​I wore this only once to Oni-Con with my group but it was so much fun to be in something like this, it was just really relaxing. I always love cosplaying with Carl, Andrew and Kat and this was no different. It was so cool to see everyone in designs I made!
